The ring expansion mold is designed to simulate the expansion properties of cement compositions placed into the annulus of a well. The ring expansion mold can be used for atmospheric curing or placed into an autoclave for pressure testing. The same mold can be used for determining shrinkage by slightly modifying the test procedure.
